Who Am I?
Happy Thursday people! I hope you've all had a good week so far. I wanted to bring an encouragement today based on what I've been reading and studying and what God has been speaking to me about all week. So I hope it blesses you and just reminds of whose you are.
Love you all and have a great weekend xx
One way the enemy attacks is by tarnishing our identity. We are defined by our identity in Christ and he knows that if we fully understood who and whose we are, he's lost! So, make it hard for him.
It won't be easy as there will be a 'tug of war' taking place between your flesh and spirit. But each day is a new day. Declare over yourself what God says about you and keep placing one foot in front of the other. Keep drawing near to God.
Then, as the bible says, the enemy will have no choice but to leave you alone.
"So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you."(James 4:7 AMP)
This is not something you should do just once. Make it a habit until it becomes part of you. Try not to give the enemy a foothold again. Doing this will require you to reflect and ask God to reveal what triggers you to question, in this instance, your identity. Is it social media? certain pages? specific music? At the end of the day, only you and God know about your triggers. So once you realise what they are, then, make the changes.
It will be uncomfortable but God sees more than we can and He has your best interest at heart. So trust that He knows best.
HE IS FOR YOU & NOT AGAINST YOU!
Always stand firm in the knowledge of whose you are. You are a child of the Most High God. A son/daughter of a king who calls you by name and takes you as you are and helps you become who He designed you to be from the beginning.
That is the God you serve and belong to. Remember that.
Be encouraged! Love you guys.
